Surfing is not a harmless sport, but it gives Mike the perfect balance. When you look at the people in the surfing scene, you know what Mike means by “balance”. Calm and collected. Just like something which would be good for everyone. And how you should be much more often.

Mike has already had some injuries in his sporting life which resulted in extended breaks.
His last injury was a gluteal muscle tear – a very painful thing that required a lot of patience and work.

«I liked being on the Luna with all the rehabilitation programmes on offer.»

Physiotherapist Brigitte Bochud put Mike on the Luna for a large part of the rehabilitation. There she found suitable workouts to strengthen his muscle groups and at the same time to improve his balance. The exercises allow for a gentle rehabilitation and help him to get back into the sport.

Together with his brother, Mike already started skateboarding at an early age. The two of them have always liked this type of sport.

At the age of 15, Mike got into surfing, and he has been addicted to it ever since.«I love this gliding, the water, and I think it is a very comprehensive and playful sport. Anything is possible when surfing.»
